Uninterruptable Power Supply
The UPS (Uniterruptable Power Supply) Control Units feed backup power from batteries to the NOC when a failure occurs in the main power supply feeds. Before the UPS batteries run dry, diesel generator power starts up and runs indefinitely to provide further backup power. Therefore the NOC is fully self-contained and independent of outside power sources.

- UPS system in N+1 parallel configuration
- 1200A DC -48V rectifier system in 2N configuration
- 2 hours battery backup
- 1500kVA generator set with additional fuel tank for continuous operation
- Dedicated earthing for NOC
- Quarterly testing of generator set for optimal performance and reliability
